Villa Aretusi is located in an elegant building on the outskirts of Bologna, dating back to the 17th century, once the residence of Bologna painter Cesare Aretusi, totally renovated and surrounded by a large park.
During the last war the mansion was half destroyed and the redevelopment and renovation work went through several phases.
Acquired by the Caselli family, it is entrusted to the care of its daughter Elisa, who begins a thorough renovation, under the supervision of the Fine Arts, to restore splendor to this elegant structure, making it a point of reference for hospitality and both traditional and gourmet cuisine, relying on to a team led by chef Alessandro Panichi, a pupil of chef Gualtiero Marchesi, and by maitre Giuseppe Sportelli elected several times Best Italian Restaurant Manager.
In 2019 the extension works of the structure which will lead to the realization of a new ceremonial hall, a large terrace with a fascinating view of the Basilica of San Luca and a large garden that make Villa Aretusi the ideal location for weddings, ceremonies and special occasions.
To complete the structure there is a hotel, obtained from the barn of the structure, with ten rooms complete with all the comforts and strategically positioned to reach the most important points of Bologna.
